While my mom and I we’re in Europe, my stepdad decided his 2014 GTI just wasn’t cutting it as his daily driver, so he went down to our local vw dealer (vw of Kirkland) and traded it in for something more... Big
Yep! We are now the proud owners of a brand new 2016 VW Touareg TDI Lux! The thing is simply amazing! Rides great, doesn’t burn a lot of diesel, and pulls like a mother f*****. I’m in love with it!

v10 TDI?

That thing looks awesome, congrats!

i wish...
they don't make the V10's anymore. this is a V6 TDI. makes 240hp and 410-ish ft-lbs of torque. It's not the 310/600 of the old TDI's, but it's more than enough to move this thing

Nice Golf Sportwagen TDI

thanks! we actually got really lucky with it, apparently. it was the only non-base TDI in the area when we got it! while the gunmetal grey wasn’t our first choice (my stepdad really wanted a white on beige TDI) there we’re no ideal ones available locally, and he didn’t want to order. so we went for our 3rd color combo choice, and I’m very happy with it! (our 3 choices were white on beige, dark blue on black, silver on black)

Thanks!
jokes aside, one of those might be coming in the next few years man..

Beige interiors are a massive pain in the ass to keep clean. They’ll instantly get dirty and it’ll take a while to make them no longer dirty.
The color combo looks rather badass, what color are the wheels?

I agree on the beige being hard to keep clean. luckily, we don’t own a car with one!
The color combo really rocks, and is growing on me. It’s Flint Gray Metallic with 19” Salvador rims in Gunmetal Grey.

That’s a good thing, haha
Wheels look nice though, they add a nice touch to it.

I will admit, contrary to popular belief, I really liked the Touareg TDI Lux that we looked at.

Shoulda got an Escalade.

Congrats! That is a really nice SUV. We had a 2011, and I personally loved it, specially the way it pulls; is amazing. Hope you and your family enjoy it.

Something about the front fascia really turns me off but the rest of it is very nice. I like the colour, it's lovely.
Too bad we don’t get the V8 TDI here in North America, that one has 335hp and 590lb-ft of torque.

real shame, but this thing's great too! :)

it’s a great truck ,and my stepdad loves it. He actually wanted a Cayenne S, but he bought this over it!
You know a car’s good when you buy it over a Porsche!

we don’t like our SUV’s to be the vehicles of choice for PIMPZZ, Rappers, and drug dealers in this family. we prefer German style and efficiency.

we love ours so far! great torque, great comfort, great MPG and great looks!

410lb-ft of torque is more than enough haha!

Good man.

So much potential. You disappoint me, child.

It's okay, not everyone has the swagger to pull off a dope ass ride like an Escalade.

I like it.
Congrats!

and not everyone's got the class and sensibility needed for a Touareg :P
![]() 08/01/2015 at 21:46 |

lol, exactly. European erryday! :D
![]() 08/01/2015 at 21:47 |

hahah yep! I have "only" 290ft-lbs in the gli, but that's enough :P
![]() 08/01/2015 at 21:56 |
|
the 240lb-ft in the TDI is even good enough for me most days!

You spelled “lack of imagination” and “boringness” wrong.
![]() 08/01/2015 at 22:14 |

and I think you spelled “drug dealer’s car” wrong when you said dope ass ride there....
but let’s bury the hatchet over which is better.
we both know the escalade is the more expensive, penis compensation vehicle of the two, whereas the touareg is what a middle-aged man making close to $200,000 chooses to buy
